OCP has arranged for a corporate transactional attorney and litigation attorney to come to Temple and discuss the nitty gritty details of two actual cases. You will have the unique opportunity to learn how the cases came to the respective firm, the amount of people and time involved from support staff, associates, to partners, the document review, back and forth negotiations between parties, out of state travel, and final resolution of the cases.

Jeffrey S. Moller, Blank Rome LLP will discuss a mass tort case. The case involves a drinking water contamination litigation involving every major oil company and several petrochemical companies, who have been sued by state governments, local water utilities and private water companies.

Kathy Jaffari, Saul Ewing LLP will discuss representation of a Nasdaq-listed biotechnology company that developed medicines for cancer and diabetes/obesity patients. She will walk you through the corporate and securities law involved in the case. The deal involved a $430 million public offering, the largest secondary offering by a biotechnology company in history. It also led to a closing dinner in Puerto Rico!
