Presidential Management Fellows Program

If you are a 3L and 4L students or LL.M student interested policy and federal employment The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program is a great career leadership opportunity for you. The PMF is administered by the U.S Office of Personnel Management of the U.S. Federal Government. The Program provides two-year Federal Government fellowships to individuals who have completed a graduate- level course of study from an accredited college or university.

The 2011 application season for students completing their graduate degrees between September 1, 2010 and August 31, 2011 will open on OCTOBER 1 and close OCTOBER 15. The application is available through the PMF website at https://www.pmf.opm.gov/.

NOMINATION PROCESS
The nomination process is competitive; student application materials will be reviewed by a committee of law school faculty and administrators to determine whether you will be nominated by the law school.

The application process has two parts - PMF's and Temples.

For PMF purposes, complete the online application questionnaire on the PMF website https://www.pmf.opm.gov/ by October 15. You will be asked for the name of the school's nomination official, who is Asst. Dean Melissa Lennon. You will need to print the PMF Nomination Form located at the end of the application.

For Temple's purposes, a copy of your transcript will be obtained from the Registrars' Office. Applicants must submit the following application materials directly to the Office of Career Planning, Barrack Hall room 201c. There will be a drop off bin set up in the OCP marked PMF Program. The deadline to submit the following application materials is 5:30 pm, October 15:

a. PMF Nomination Form
b. Cover letter addressed to the PMF Selection Committee indicating why you are interested in the program, qualifications, past government/policy experience (if applicable), and why you ought to be nominated to represent Temple in the PMF program.
c. Resume
d. Any supporting documentation for veterans' preference (if applicable)
